Arts for Life – OpenAir Competition
This site was built for Arts For Life, a non-profit, as part of the OpenAir (Accessibility Internet Rally) competition. OpenAir is an international community hackathon focused on accessibility.
I teamed up with some co-workers and we built this site in a very short turn around. This was a fun project for a good cause and I learned a ton about accessibility along the way.
I worked with some great people! My role was to lead the front-end and WordPress development efforts. I did the majority of the front-end mark up with the help of another front-end developer who had created the new design for the site.
I coded a new theme to implement the design, which is responsive. We really wanted to focus on making the site easy to use not only for users, but also for the Arts for Life folks on the backend.
The site is very accessible! Checkout the WAVE Report.
