Viper – Dun & Bradstreet
Viper is a product I worked on as the lead front end developer and UX designer.
This product is an internal tool for the sales team to instantiate new contracts after closing new deals to setup the client on the product they purchased.
The user base is varied, everyone from engineering to customer service to sales would use it for different use cases. The aim of the design was to be clean and intuitive.
I used Adobe XD to create wireframes and then took those wireframes and made a working prototype which could be quickly iterated on based on stakeholder feedback.
The UI was built on Angular with a custom Material UI theme and the backend used a Java micro-service for the API.
The product features include workflows for:
– Contract search
– Creating, editing, and migrating contracts
– Viewing contract spending
– User creation/impersonation
– Activity log of user actions in the product
This project ended up being very successful since it was easy and intuitive to use.
The sales and engineering team saved time by not having to train new members on a complicated system.
It was also one of the first projects within the company to be built on modern frameworks which had many benefits including better performance than previous systems.
