The Power of One – Whole Planet Foundation
Whole Planet Foundation has a variety of metrics they use to track how donations help different regions they support over time.
They wanted a visual way to illustrate this on their site. I collaborated with a few teammates and we came up with this workflow.
For this project I led the design and development efforts. (Note: I did not design the large graphic on the landing page)
The Whole Planet Site is build in WordPress so I ended up coding this as a plugin.
I used jQuery and ajax to send requests back to WordPress without a page reload. This also gives the ability for Whole Planet Foundation to update content through WordPress.
