The ROCK – Whole Foods Market

ROCK = Reaching Out with Care and Knowledge.

The ROCK is Whole Foods Market’s quality standards website. It serves as the go to place for team members looking for product information and ingredient guidelines.

This project was a collaborative effort, we took a content first approach and did a total redesign of the site. I worked closely with a UX strategist who did months of user research.

We focused our efforts on building an intuitive information architecture based on the data that was gathered. I was responsible for leading the visual design and development efforts.

This site was build in WordPress with a variety of custom plugins being transferred from the old site and some new ones I wrote as well (Check out the food article page in the gallery).

The site was redesigned to match the Whole Foods Market aesthetic and I designed an updated logo too!

I coded a new custom theme and several plugins and widgets. Zurb’s Foundations framework was used on the front-end. The site is 100% responsive.
